From outdoor attractions to unique shops and everything in between, there’s no shortage of spots to discover when visiting Broken Bow. One of the best ways to stumble upon fun adventures is by simply driving around. However, to help give you a starting point, we’ve compiled a list of five incredible options.

  1. Visit the animals that call Hochatown Rescue Center and Petting Zoo home. About 95 percent of the animals here are rescues that were either abandoned, surrendered, or orphaned. There are also classic barnyard animals.

  2. Find the perfect keepsake or unique gift at Janet’s Treasure Chest. Found only minutes from Beavers Bend State Park, this local gift shop features everything from cabin decor to souvenir items and more.

  3. Found inside Beavers Bend State Park is the Beavers Bend Wildlife Museum. This attraction aims to teach visitors about native animals and their natural range and feeding habits through 11 wildlife dioramas.

  4. Go for a ride on a replica C.P. Huntington S.P. train through the state park game


  1. reserve with Beavers Bend Depot & Trail Rides. The ride only takes about 20 minutes and is a great way to discover native wildlife. You can also go for a guided trail ride that starts at the top of every hour.

  2. Sample Muscadine wine at Fish Tales Winery & Bistro, located across from the south entrance of the state park. Stop by the bistro to sample the wine made with grapes native to the area while enjoying a delicious meal.
