How many guests does Retro Rose Retreat sleep?

The cabin sleeps 6 most comfortably and allows up to 8. The master suite has a king and a queen bed, the guest room has a queen, and the living room has a sofa bed with a new memory-foam mattress. There are 2 full bathrooms.

It sits among tall pines and oaks inside the Ouachita National Forest, less than a mile from Hochatown and under half a mile from Highway 259. Broken Bow Lake, Mountain Fork Brewery, Hochatown Distilling and many restaurants are within a couple of miles.

A custom two-player arcade cabinet with more than 4,700 classic games, a working rotary phone booth, an antique cast-iron soaking tub, a piano and guitar, a spiral staircase from a Dallas club, and an elevated catwalk to a private stargazing porch.

Is there a hot tub and fire pit?

Yes. The private hot tub is in a covered cabana and is emptied, cleaned and treated before each arrival. The fire pit has Adirondack chairs and a starter bundle of firewood. Burn bans can be in effect during dry spells.

Can we use the fireplace?

The gas log fireplace runs from November through April. It is turned off from May to October, but the fire pit is available year-round.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, up to two dogs under 50 lbs (no cats) with a one-time pet fee of $90 plus tax. Dogs must stay off furniture and out of the hot tub, be crated when left alone, and be leashed outside.

What are the roads and parking like?

The last half mile is on easy gravel county roads that compact cars handle fine. A half-circle gravel driveway fits several vehicles, including an ATV or jet ski trailer, but it is too tight for a boat trailer.

Keurig, drip machine, pour-over and French press, with beans and a grinder included, plus an electric kettle for tea.

Texarkana (TXK) is about 80 miles away. Little Rock is about 170 miles, DFW about 175 miles, and Dallas Love Field about 182 miles.

No, to reduce flooding risk. Ice trays are provided, and ice is sold at nearby kiosks and convenience stores.

Yes. All linens are included, and a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, soap and travel-size toiletries is supplied. Plan to bring extras for longer stays.
